By the Order of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation, February 12, 2019 № 21-р, the Journal is included in the list of peer-reviewed scientific journals approved be the Higher attestation Commission where the major results of PhD and Doctoral dissertations must be published.
Aim and scope
The aims of the scientific journal Theoretical and Applied Linguistics (ThAL) are to be a leading source of scholarly linguistic articles and research papers, to provide publishing platform to researchers and scholars from the field of linguistics and give them a chance to be part of the linguistic scholarly community.
The journal contains selected articles devoted to various languages and language studies. Particular attention is paid to the languages of the peoples of Russia including endangered languages and mixed language formations.
The scopes of the journal include but are not limited to the following topic areas: phonetics and phonology, grammar and lexical studies, speech production and perception issues, discourse studies, corpus-based studies, foreign language acquisition and language interference, theory and practice of written and oral translation, methods of linguistic studies and language teaching.
The articles published in this journal might be useful for both specialists in corresponding areas and a wider audience including students.
